Body Fat Composition
The Inbody Device measures segmental (by arm, leg, trunk) and whole body composition. It is 95% equivalent in accuracy to a DEXA Scan which is considered the gold standard for body composition. However, the InBody device unlike the DEXA does not use x-rays to determine composition, so there is no radiation involved. Instead, the Inbody uses bioimpediance or electric currents to determine the composition of the body.
Body Muscle Composition
Looking to gain more muscle or curious if you have any muscle imbalances? The InBody device measures arm to arm, leg to leg, and trunk composition of muscle to help determine your overall muscle mass. This is great for athletes that feel that they do have muscular imbalances or for bodybuilders. For the general population, the analysis unlocks information that can help people make decisions on training protocol and can help with personal trainers determining how to balance a person’s musculature.
Body Water Composition
Do you struggle with water retention? The InBody device can help give insights into water retention and where water is carried throughout the body. It gives an overall screenshot of whether or not you are experiencing inflammation as well. The device measures extracellular vs intracellular water and the ratio between the two which can point to inflammation.

InBody Scans are $65 per scan, or $100 for individuals that are competing or need to be scanned multiple times. Each scan is roughly 1-3minutes with a mini consult with a treating provider about interpretations, goals, and general advice.
